Caring For Your Candle
Trim Your Wick.
We can't stress this enough, candles smoke if the wick is too long. The scent comes from the pool of melted wax that forms around the flame. You can double the life of your candle just by keeping the wick trimmed so before you light it, trim the wick to approximately 5mm (1/4") every time.
The Melt Pool
To assist your candle in a clean and even burn, allow it to burn for four hours the first time that you light it. All future burns should then follow the path of the first one and melt all of the wax from the sides once your candle is fully burned. Discontinue burning when about 1/4" of wax remains at the bottom of your candle.
Burning your candle in a Draughty area can cause it to burn unevenly, thereby increasing the chance of the wick smoking.
Always burn your candles on a heat-resistant surface or on a coaster and do not pick up when lit - because the containers can become hot!
And, never burn near anything that can catch fire.
Never Leave a Burning Candle Unattended!
To avoid accidents, always keep an eye on your candles whilst they are burning and always keep out of reach of children and pets.
